Volute Sludge Dewatering Machine

Rotary Disc Sludge Thickener

The Cost-Effective Way to Boost Your Dewatering Press Performance.

The Industry Challenge

Directly feeding low-concentration sludge (e.g., 0.5% DS) into a dewatering press is highly inefficient. It overloads the press, reduces final cake dryness, and wastes huge amounts of expensive polymer. The entire sludge line operates at low capacity and high cost.

The Feiran EP Solution

Our Disc Sludge Thickener acts as a low-cost “booster” stage. It uses a slowly rotating filter disc to gently remove free water, raising the solid content to 2-6% DS. This pre-thickened sludge allows your main dewatering press (Screw Press or Volute) to operate at peak efficiency, doubling its throughput.

Technical Specs Performance Standard
Inlet Consistency 0.3% – 1.5% DS
Outlet Consistency Up to 6.0% DS
Hydraulic Load Up to 150 m³/h
Material Full SUS304 / SUS316L
Q1: Is a thickener always necessary before a dewatering press?
  • A: For sludge with solid content below 1.5%, a thickener is highly recommended. It can double your dewatering capacity and significantly cut polymer costs, leading to a quick return on investment (ROI) in less than 12 months.

  • A: The Feiran EP Disc Thickener is fully enclosed (odor-free), requires less floor space, and consumes minimal wash water. Belt thickeners often create aerosol mists and require high-pressure washing.

  • A: It uses a durable polyester woven filter cloth mounted on segmented discs. These segments are easy to replace individually, lowering maintenance costs.
