How Rotary Drum Screens Work

Wastewater flows into a rotating drum covered with a perforated screen. Solids larger than the screen openings are retained on the surface while filtered water passes through. Brushes or spray nozzles continuously clean the screen, with collected debris transported to a collection trough for disposal.
