Sand and grit mixtures pumped from sedimentation tanks often contain high water content and organic matter. If not separated effectively, this leads to wet, smelly sludge that is expensive to transport and dispose of. Traditional separators with central shafts are prone to jamming and require frequent maintenance.

Q1: Why use a shaftless screw instead of a shafted one?
A: Shaftless screws have no central axis, which provides a larger flow passage. This design completely eliminates the risk of rags or fibrous materials wrapping around the shaft and causing blockages.
Q2: Does it require a bottom bearing?
A: No. Feiran EP’s design eliminates the underwater bottom bearing, which is the most common maintenance headache in traditional separators. The screw rides on a replaceable wear liner.
Q3: Can it be integrated with other equipment?
A: Absolutely. It is designed to receive slurry directly from Vortex Grit Traps, Air Lift Pumps, or Submersible Slurry Pumps, forming a complete grit management system.
