What is the difference between DAF and sedimentation?
DAF uses micro-bubbles to float light particles to the surface, while sedimentation relies on gravity to sink heavy particles. DAF is far more effective for removing oils, grease, algae, and light suspended solids. It requires much less space and shorter retention time (15-30 min vs 2-4 hours).
What chemical conditioning is needed?
Typically a coagulant (PAC or ferric chloride) and a flocculant (PAM). Dosage: 50-200 mg/L coagulant + 1-3 mg/L flocculant for most industrial applications.
Can DAF handle high-TDS wastewater?
Yes. Our DAF systems operate effectively with TDS up to 50,000 mg/L. For seawater desalination pretreatment, we use SUS316L construction with special seal materials.
What is the typical power consumption?
0.05-0.15 kWh per m3 of treated water, depending on model size and recirculation ratio.
Do you provide installation and commissioning?
